Since last April I have been attending workshops with a teacher named Don Hanson. Don is from Arizona and will go wherever he is called when there is a community ready and willing to grow. He has two very established communities in Ireland and I am planning my third trip there this January. The people in these groups are of all ages and from all walks of life. What unifies them is their authentic single minded commitment to their personal evolution. They are ready to push through their blocks no matter what it takes because they want to live a highly conscious life.
My experience has been one of deep cellular transformation and growth in just a few months. Through this work, no matter where you are on your path, you will grow. All you have to do is show up with desire and courage. The energy that Don brings through does the transforming.
Besides my own personal experience of shifts within me, I have witnessed shifts in my husband (who also attends the workshops) and in our relationship. These shifts are bringing us to new, deeper, core levels of ourselves that are opening up our essence, our creativity, our aliveness. I have met others who have changed careers, healed chronic pain, and resolved deep relationship conflicts. These movements have taken place as quickly as the person has been willing to allow them. This work is not psychological, not group therapy, not hands on. It is a dialogue with Spirit when you are ready to move from monologue to dialogue.

Don Hanson is not a guru. He is simply a real man who has done his work. He doesn't have groupies, persons who scurry around adoring him and serving his whims. He doesn't have whims, just pure energy and mission to be present and encourage others to be present. I have seen many others who have groupies or who have established a persona (always false) to draw people in. Don is a real man in a real world. He is a man among men. His varied professional and personal experiences allow him to zero in with the support of Divine Spirit on the individual's truths. The man is important but not as important as the work and the energy created and Don himself knows this. All of us bring the energy and spirit to what is going on.
My wife and I first heard of Don's work from another practitioner in NYC who was working with him. After a three hour workshop we calmly and naturally knew this is where we wanted to be. That was in May 2004. We made the commitment to go to Hawaii for his workshop in July. The commitment that we have to ourselves has led us to continue the workshops and, in fact, we have been to Ireland twice in the last 4 months for two additional workshops. Don Hanson has a large Irish following which enables him to go there and present the work there every few months. Those workshops are 2 nights and 5 full days. Intense is an understatement."
